This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Uopus, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over your information. 01Information we collect
To provide the service, we collect the following categories of information at different points of your use of Uopus:

We only collect information that is necessary to provide the service. We will not require information unrelated to our service.
02How we use information
- Core functionality: understand your request, generate works, save projects, produce share links and résumé snippets;
- Personalisation: recommend projects and community content based on your role and goals;
- Security and abuse prevention: detect suspicious logins, prevent misuse and fraud, protect your account and the platform;
- Product improvement: analyse de-identified, aggregated usage statistics to improve features;
- Service notices: send important service-related notifications.
03Third parties & sharing
Third-party large language models
Uopus uses third-party LLM providers (including but not limited to DeepSeek) to generate content. When you converse with the AI or generate works, the relevant input is transmitted to these providers for processing. We require providers by contract to use such data only for the agreed purposes and to apply appropriate security measures.
Other service providers
For login, push notifications, crash monitoring, content storage and delivery, we may share necessary information with technical service providers — only to the minimum extent needed to provide the service to you.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Except as required by law or with your explicit consent — or where necessary to protect users or the public — we will not provide your personal information to third parties.
04Data storage & security
We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures (such as transport encryption and access controls) to protect your information. We only retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention is required by law. Our servers are located in mainland China (on Aliyun); for users outside mainland China, data may be transferred across borders subject to applicable safeguards. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection; if a personal-data incident occurs, we will notify you and take remedial steps as required by law.
05Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights over your personal information:
- Access and correction: view and update your account details and onboarding answers;
- Deletion: delete works and content you created or published;
- Account closure: request closure of your account, after which we will delete or anonymise your personal information as required by law;
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent (withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out).

06Children
Uopus is intended for job seekers and working adults. If you are a minor, please use Uopus only with the consent and supervision of your guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without parental consent; if we discover we have, we will delete it as soon as possible.
07Cookies & local storage
Our site and app may use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and gather basic analytics. You can manage these via your browser or system settings, but disabling them may affect functionality.
08Policy updates
We may update this Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with the new effective date. For material changes, we will give reasonable notice (for example, an in-app notification). Continuing to use Uopus after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
